The idea for Front Porch Chocolate came on a warm Fall afternoon on our front porch in Bozeman, Montana.

We were nibbling on a few bites of Greg’s homemade dark chocolate while neighbors passed by and the autumn wind breezed through the trees. At that moment, there was no place to be besides on our porch with each other and our chocolate. Thus, the idea for Front Porch Chocolate began.

We started very small and out of our house, selling limited amounts of our dark chocolate bars right off our front porch. People seemed to like it so we thought heck, let’s keep doing it! It’s still mind blowing to us that we get to do what we love and bring the “Front Porch” into shops, cafés and bakeries across the country.

Our chocolate is meant to be slow in every way, from the long process of making, to the reusable packaging and finally to the experience of eating the chocolate itself. We hope it can encourage slowing down to enjoy the ‘front porch moments’ with friends, family, or just yourself.
